Service Station Branding Agreements

Gulf Oil is one of the most famous oil brands in the world, with a rich history and a bright future. The brand continues to go from strength to strength in the industry and Gulf is always looking for new independent partners to take the brand into new regional areas across Ireland.

Gulf Oil in Ireland is now able to offer branding agreements with independent service stations to operate under the Gulf brand as a retail distributor without the constraints or expense of a fuel supply contract (solus agreement), for an annual branding license fee. The Gulf Oil brand has been established for over 110 years, and is recognised across the globe for quality, service, reliability and iconic motorsport achievements.

This offer is available nationwide in the Republic of Ireland (26 counties), and is open to all independent service stations large or small. There is no set criteria or format to become an approved Gulf retailer, but Gulf Oil places great importance on continued quality and personal service, and the roles that independent service stations play in their local communities.

Gulf Oil branding agreements offer greater flexibility for your business, allowing each site that to be officially allocated a geographic area, and be independently owned and managed. You purchase fuel without contract from approved suppliers, or fuels approved for resale from your current supplier. This provides each independent business with a better purchase price and increased profit margins by setting their own pricing structure.

Advantages of becoming an approved Gulf retailer include:-

  • Greater credibility and professional image
  • Greater brand recognition
  • Loyalty from customers expecting quality
  • No exclusive supply contract (solus agreement)
  • No large overheads
  • Better profit margin than unbranded service station
  • Better profit margin than contracted supply
  • Future flexibility for exit strategy
  • Greater price transparency on supply

As part for the branding agreement we also provide support for:-

The annual license fee for each service station is assessed on the size and volume of the retailer, and is co- ordinated by a dedicated Branding Agreements Manager. This process begins with an initial consultation visit to the service station, where the Branding Agreements Manager can provide further explanation, outline the terms of the agreement and answer any questions that you might have.
